These systems act as a roadmap, guiding data collection on programme effectiveness and service utilisation by key populations. This data is crucial for optimising programmes and maximising their real-world impact.

Proceedings
The session on Kenya's National KP Monitoring and Evaluation Framework was chaired by Reuben Musundi from the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC). He welcomed opening remarks from Solomon Wambua (Key Populations Consortium) and John Mbau from the Kenya National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP).
Following introductions, Japeth Kioko (NSDCC) presented an overview of the M&E framework giving participants a foundational understanding of the system. Robert Kinoti, Meru County Health Information & Medical Records Officer shared perspectives on the the County-level KP reporting mechanism. His explanation detailed how data is collected and reported at the county level, ensuring efficient monitoring and evaluation.
Gordon Aomo from the Kenya Red Cross Society shared on implementing partners' experience with data collection and reporting structures. This session clarified how implementing organisations collected and reported data in the past.
A Q&A session followed that provided participants with an opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and engage in open dialogue about the presented information.
Later, Country Champions from Cote d'Ivoire, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Uganda shared their key takeaways and experiences from their countries, offering valuable insights into implementing similar frameworks.
