Aveneni is a social scientist with over 18 years working on adolescent health and well being at both local and international levels. He is currently the National Programme Coordinator (Youth Desk Lead) for the Adolescent & Youth Health Programme under the Ministry of Health and Child Care. Motivated and driven by passion for excellence and data driven programming.
Beauty Nyamwanza is a Social Scientist coordinating the AGYW pillar for the South to South Learning Network ( SSLN) in Zimbabwe. She has extensive expertise and experience in Gender, Sexual Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS Programme management. She has created and coordinated linkages and partnerships among the private sector, government, CSO partners and the UN agencies, resulting in the success of the initiatives in Zimbabwe. Has also created platforms for young people’s participation on their Gender, SRHR, HIV and AIDS issues at national, regional and international level. Has strong communication skills at interpersonal, programme and advocacy levels which have resulted in good internal and external public relations and effective representation of young people’s issues on Gender, SRHR, HIV and AIDS at different platforms. She is a competent trainer with national, regional and international experience.
QUEEN BEE CHIHERA Meki HUMAN RIGHTS RESEARCHER AND CAMPAIGNER Q Bee is a trans woman passionate about fighting for the rights of marginalized people in Zimbabwe, Transgender, Intersex, and LGB community, including people living with HIV, people with albinism and sex workers in diversity. She has skills in research, sexual reproductive health and rights, HIV and AIDS programming (with a focus on youth and key populations), home-based and palliative care, peer education and advocacy. Bee is also a musician, scriptwriter, dancer, and theatre actress. She is currently undertaking qualitative and quantitative research, community mobilization, advocacy on human rights for a marginalized group, and appraisal of community-based interventions in public health. Bee holds global advocacy positions relating to HIV and AIDS and interfaith dialogues. She has engaged in research work with TREAT (Trans Education Advocate Training ), SATIF (Southern African Trans* Forum), and the University of Zimbabwe on Trans
and other marginalized groups.
