Dr. Babatunde Adelekan is accomplished Public Health Consultant; Sexual, Maternal, Reproductive and Adolescent Health Expert and Programme Manager with over 2 decades of experience and expertise in development, humanitarian, educational initiative, monitoring and evaluation of public health programs, community development, inclusive programming at the state and national level, girl child advocacy and campaigns. Experienced in Child Protection, Childhood Development, HIV/AIDS Prevention, Vulnerable/Leaving no one behind programming, Adolescent, Youth and Women development and empowerment initiatives.
Mx. Emmanuella David-ette is an Intersectional/inclusive Feminist, human rights advocate and Intersex/Trans lady living her reality in Nigeria. She has a Bachelors’ degree as an Archivist & Information Scientist. She is also a certificated Psychosocial Counseling / Therapist, and believes in a Gender-sensitive Governance. She has worked within the civil society movement for 13 years and still counting while addressing gender based violence and human rights violations, mental health issues with a special focus on transgender, intersex and gender non-conforming persons in Nigeria, West Africa. She was also recognized as one of the honorees on the Leading Ladies Africa (LLA) list 2022, making her one of Nigeria’s most inspiring women in Nigeria breaking boundaries within the mainstream media and uniting everyone using an Intersectional/Inclusive Feminist approach. As a South to South Learning Network (SSLN) champion, she has worked in various capacities with NACA, UNDP, NHRC and other bodies while focusing on human rights, gender based violence, mental health and a holistic healthcare services through the use of the power of positive narratives and putting a human face around sexual and gender diversities.
I currently works as an Assistant Director at the National Agency for the Control of AIDS(NACA). I have 18+ years of progressive experience in public health policy, health planning, program design, community & social mobilization, resource mobilization and health systems strengthening. I am an Emotional Intelligence Certified Professional, counselor, trainer and social worker. I have a background in community development, an M.Sc. in Social work and health care from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo state Nigeria and a PHD in Medical Sociology in view. I have an extensive experience across private-for-profit, not-for-profit and public health sector. I have worked extensively with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and non-governmental organizations in the design and deployment of large-scale interventions for multi-sectoral HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, gender and human rights interventions. I have routinely led initiatives for capacity-building, policy & guidelines development and quality improvement of services in Nigeria. I am a Member of the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD) and also a Member Institute of Social Workers of Nigeria (ISWON). I have a proven track record for improving the living conditions of Nigerians focusing on poor community members and building strong relationships between them and the donors.
Association of Young people Living with AIDS in Nigeria (AYPIN)
Haruna Aaron Sunday is a TB Survivor, Youth living with HIV, public health specialist, a global influential civic leader, public speaker, global health activist, 2021 AVAC Award winning advocate, researcher who specialised in HIV/TB and sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues for adolescents and young people in their diversities especially those within humanitarian and fragile settings. He has over 8 years of experience in establishing operational optimisation across diverse organisations both at the state, national, regional, international and global level in divers’ capacities. He currently serves as the Executive Director of African Network of Adolescents and Young Persons Development (ANAYD) and National Coordinator of Association of Positive Living with HIV in Nigeria (APYIN)
Okiwu Henry is a development and public health professional with over 13 years’ experience in designing and leading Program, Policy and Research in the intersection of HIV & Drug/Harm Reduction targeting young key and vulnerable population at all levels. I have supported/facilitated network and partnership building, learning exchanges, national programs & policy development, stakeholders/donors engagements, institutional strengthening, advocacy/campaigns & policy reform. I holds Master in Public Health (MPH), amongst other trainings & currently lead technical operations at YouthRISE Nigeria.
