In May 2023, the SSLN hosted its biggest workshop to date!

The SSLN Pan-Prevention Workshop brought together Champions from all 15 member countries in Africa as well as regional and global stakeholders.

Purpose of the workshop

The purpose of this workshop was to support countries to determine priorities in prevention with a focus on sustainable country government and community-led solutions that go beyond the current pillar by pillar approach. The SSLN facilitated the exploration of how to efficiently and effectively scale programming using the GPC HIV Prevention 2025 Road Map ten-point plan and considering sustainable country government and community owned solutions.

Through this workshop, we replicated the successful approach and methodology used by the SSLN to bring diverse country stakeholders together in an interactive way to share and learn in a safe and neutral environment by the South for the South.

Workshop details

During the 3-day workshop we covered topics including: integrated service delivery, community-led monitoring, precision prevention, social contracting, and many more. We also hosted a Networking Dinner during which countries got to show their country pride and their dance moves.
